Covid -19 Predictions
I have received hundreds on emails asking for my views on Covid -19 & its astrological causes/ prognosis.
Guilty of not having added articles in a long time, I take this opportunity to address both these things.
Astrological Reasons
Infectious diseases in Jyotish come under the portfolio of Rahu & Ketu. They represent the unknown, the hard to see (with naked eye or even instruments). In my research I have seen that even though both represent pathogenic diseases (virus, bacteria & parasites), Ketu represents viral diseases & Rahu represents bacterial diseases. That said, both can cause infections and inflammatory response in the body.
Now coming to the Jeeva Karakas – significators of life. These are Jupiter & Mercury. No wonder that they both gain directional strength in the lagna (ascendant). Typically cell related diseases are related to Jupiter & when Jupiter is heavily afflicted in the chart by the nodes as well as related to 6th house or its lord and or saturn, cancers and incurable diseases can occur.
Mool nakshatra of Ketu is a teevra nakshatra (intense) and since it falls in the sign of jupiter (jeeva karaka) it relates to microbiology in general. Ardra nakshatra of Rahu represents the tear drop and in general situations that can lead to sorrow. Important to note that Rahu – ketu in this axis are affecting both the Jeeva karakas _ rahu affecting Mercury & Ketu affecting Jupiter.
In general weakness of Jupiter & Mercury along with afflictions related to Ketu/ Rahu lead to epidemic and pandemic situations. When saturn is also involved, it can create pandemics as saturn represents the masses in general or the larger part of global population
Dec 2019 marked a great eclipse in the sign of Sagittarius and in Jyotish an eclipse has effects that can last upto 6 months (till the next eclipse). Ketu, Jupiter, Saturn, Sun & Mercury were all involved in this combination.
Resolution Timelines
As mentioned above, the effects of eclipse will last till sun crosses the Rahu/ ketu axis again, this is around June 21, 2020.
Secondly, the great Dec 2019 eclipse also triggered a Kaal sarp yoga – all planets on one side of Rahu/ Ketu – with only moon breaking the cycle every 14 days. This will last till Mercury crosses over Rahu in Gemini on May 29th, 2020
Finally, Jupiter was afflicted since Nov 2019. However till March end, it was still in its own sign and thus retaining some power. Although the deepest fall point of Jupiter is 5 degrees in capricorn and hence the last 5 to 10 degrees in Sagitarius can not be deemed as strength zone for jupiter as it is approaching its deepest fall within 12 to 15 degrees. But end March 2020, it entered Capricorn rasi and Capricorn navamsa. Hence deeply debilitated and weak. Thus March 2020 is when massive effects of Covid were seen very clearly. Now Jupiter has turned retrograde and will re-enter Sagitarius on June 29 2020 till November 20th 2020 (when it re-enters Capricorn)
Also to note that Jupiter’s motion in Saggitarius from Nov 2019 to March 2020 was an extremely fast motion known as ATI-CHAR (very fast in sanskrit). This is deemed as very negative in Jyotish and Jupiter usually has one such motion every 12 years approximately. Any Ati-Char planet is deemed as weak. If this planet is also marching towards its lowest fall point (as is this case of Jupiter) then it becomes extremely weak by definition in such a transit.
All the conditions above led to this situation and resolution as follows-
- Kaal Sarp Yoga ending in transit – May 29th 2020 (first big respite)
- Sun crossing over from Rahu in Gemini – June 21, 2020 (2nd respite)
- Jupiter leaving capricorn June 29th 2020 – 3rd respite
- Ketu leaving Moola tara and Sagittarius sign- September 20th, 2020 (final and biggest respite)
As per the above timeline, the disease will loosen its grip on the globe and should be mostly eradicated by September end when the nodes change signs and Ketu leaves MOOLA tara
Goodluck to all and stay safe! 🙂
